The Mindful Way Through Stress Mini-Review

I recently picked up The Mindful Way Through Stress by Shamash Alidina, and I have to say, it was a mixed bag for me.

If the cover and title of this book looks familiar to you it's because this book is part of a series from Alidina on mindfulness. Our colleague, Sarah reviewed "The Mindful Way" previously.

On one hand, the book does a great job of breaking down mindfulness concepts in a way that feels accessible and relatable. Alidina shares a lot of practical tips, and I found some of the exercises really helpful for grounding myself during hectic days.

However, I felt the book sometimes repeated itself, and a few sections dragged on longer than necessary. While the author's intentions are clear and well-meaning, I found myself wishing for more depth in certain areas; it could be more challenging for those already familiar with mindfulness practices.

Overall, it’s worth a read if you're looking for a gentle introduction to managing stress, but be prepared for some of the content to feel a bit repetitive.

It’s a solid go-to for beginners, but if you’re well-versed in mindfulness, you might not find it groundbreaking.
