Digital Minimalism Mini-review

Hasan here.

I recently finished reading "Digital Minimalism" by Cal Newport, and I have to say, the way Newport breaks down our relationship with technology is both straightforward and thought-provoking.

He that we often let our devices consume too much of our time and attention, and I totally relate to that feeling of being overwhelmed by all the notifications and social media.

What I appreciated most about the book is practical it is. Instead of just pointing out the problems, Newport offers clear steps to reclaim your time and attention. His ideas about decluttering your digital life really resonated with me.

I found his suggestions helpful—like setting boundaries with technology and intentionally choosing how to spend my online time.

The writing style is conversational and easy to follow, which made it a quick read for me. Newport’s insights dense but digestible; he mixes in research with real-life examples that kept me engaged.

I ended up reflecting on my own habits and found myself making small changes immediately after finishing the book.

Overall, " Minimalism" is a fantastic read if you feel bogged down by your devices or just want to find a healthier balance with technology.

I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to simplify their digital life.
